Can hormonal changes affect anxiety and mood?

Yes.  Hormonal fluctuations associated with menstrual cycles, pregnancy, postpartum periods, perimenopause and menopause may influence mood, anxiety, sleep, energy, and emotional well-being.  Symptoms can vary significantly from person to person.

Why do I feel more anxious or overwhelmed as I get older?

Hormonal changes, increasing responsibilities, life transitions, chronic stress, caregiving demands, sleep disruption, and medical factors may all contribute to anxiety and feelings of overwhelm over time.

Can ADHD look different in women?

Can low iron, vitamin B 12, or vitamin D affect mood?

In some individuals, nutritional deficiencies may contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, low energy, difficulty concentrating or changes in mood.  When appropriate, laboratory results and medical history may be reviewed as part of a comprehensive assessment.

How do I know if I am experiencing burnout?

Burnout often involves emotional exhaustion, mental fatigue, reduced motivation, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and feeling overwhelmed despite continued effort.  Burnout can sometimes overlap with anxiety, ADHD, depression, or chronic stress.
