Yes. In-person psychiatric appointments are available in Cornelius, North Carolina on select days. Telehealth appointments are also available statewide throughout North Carolina for added flexibility and convenience.

We strive to maintain appointment availability for new patients and urgent psychiatric needs whenever possible. Same-week appointments are available.  We offer convenient day and evening hours, reach out if needing accomodations for alternate availability.

What can I expect during my first psychiatric appointment?

Initial psychiatric appointments include a comprehensive discussion of symptoms, medical history, mental health concerns, medications, treatment goals, and overall functioning. The goal is to create a thoughtful, individualized treatment plan that aligns with each patient’s needs and preferences.I offer extended appointments allowing time to understand each patients goals and review underlying rationale, treatment options, and formulating a plan with in collaboration with the client.  I focus on not just treating the symptoms but inquiring as to why these symptoms are occuring in the first place.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Accepted Answer

Please bring a list of your current medications and supplements, any recent records or prior treatment notes, your insurance information, and a few notes about your symptoms and goals for care. If you are bringing a child or teen, it also helps to have any school or behavior concerns you want to discuss. The more you can share upfront, the easier it is to create a plan that fits your needs.
