Part of the evaluation is determining whether ADHD best explains the pattern or whether symptoms may be related to anxiety, depression, sleep problems, stress, medical conditions, or a combination of factors. Screening tools and additional information may be used when appropriate. After the evaluation, we review the diagnostic impression together so you understand not only whether ADHD is present, but why the diagnosis does or does not fit.

Follow-up visits focus on how well the medication is working in everyday life, side effects, sleep, appetite, mood, anxiety, and whether adjustments are needed. The goal is not simply to prescribe a medication, but to find a treatment plan that improves functioning while remaining safe and appropriate for the individual.
