Insurance & Payment

At Aligned Psychiatric Care, we believe mental health care should feel approachable, transparent, and supportive from the very beginning. We work to make psychiatric care accessible by offering both insurance-based and self-pay appointment options for children, adolescents, and adults throughout North Carolina.

Telehealth psychiatric appointments are available statewide across North Carolina, with select in-person appointments available in Cornelius, NC.

Insurance Accepted

We currently participate with select insurance plans and continue to expand insurance participation as credentialing is completed.

Current and pending insurance participation may include:

 

  • Medicare

  • Aetna

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)

  • UnitedHealthcare / Optum

  • Cigna

Insurance participation and benefits may vary depending on your specific plan and network. Patients are encouraged to verify behavioral health coverage directly with their insurance carrier prior to services.

Telehealth & Insurance Coverage

Many insurance plans now provide coverage for telehealth psychiatric appointments, including many commercial and Medicare plans. Coverage, copays, deductibles, and authorization requirements may vary depending on your individual policy.

Aligned Psychiatric Care provides telehealth psychiatric services throughout North Carolina for medication management, ADHD treatment, anxiety treatment, depression care, and other mental health concerns.

If you are unsure whether your telehealth appointment is covered, our office is happy to assist with insurance verification whenever possible.

Self pay, Out of Network Options

Self-pay appointments are available for patients who:

​

  • prefer not to use insurance

  • have out-of-network benefits

  • are seeking services not covered by insurance

  • prefer increased privacy and flexibility

​

Self-pay rates and appointment information are available upon request. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged in advance.

Some patients may have out-of-network behavioral health benefits available through their insurance plan. Depending on your coverage, reimbursement may be possible for eligible psychiatric services.

Upon request, a superbill may be provided for patients wishing to independently submit claims to their insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.
